FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the tobacco industry, in particular to devices simulating the tobacco smoking process. Control circuit for the aerosol generating device having a locked state in which the aerosol generating device is prohibited from delivering the aerosol, and an unlocked state in which the aerosol generating device is allowed to deliver the aerosol. Control circuit is configured to receive user-input authentication information from one or more user interface components. Control circuit is configured to receive user-entered authentication information during several time intervals of a predetermined duration. Each time interval corresponds to the corresponding digit from the sequence of digits forming the authentication information, and assigning user input received by user interface components during said time interval to a digit corresponding to said time interval. Control circuit is configured to autonomously authenticate the aerosol generating device based on user-entered authentication information and making a decision to transfer the aerosol generating device from the locked state to the unlocked state based on the successful autonomous authentication result. Control circuit is additionally configured to interpret multiple signals occurring during repeated operation of the user with the same specified user interface component during said time interval, as an encoded input signal, which determines a sequence digit to which said time interval corresponds. Invention discloses an aerosol generating device and system comprising an aerosol generating device and the disclosed control circuit.
EFFECT: high efficiency and reliability of protecting the aerosol-forming device from use by unauthorized users.
