SUBSTANCE: invention group relates to a non-tobacco composition for oral nicotine pouches and to a product containing it. Non-tobacco nicotine composition for a nicotine pouch for oral administration, containing: water in amount of 15% to 40% by weight of the pouch composition, nicotine in amount of 0.1% to 5.0% by weight of the pouch composition and at least one sugar alcohol in amount of 10% to 50% by weight of the pouch composition, wherein said at least one sugar alcohol contains a sugar alcohol of the "not directly compressed" ("not subject to DC") class, wherein the pouch composition is free from humectants consisting of alginate, propylene glycol, hydroxypropyl cellulose and glycerol, wherein the pouch composition contains at least one water-insoluble fibre in amount of 10% to 45% by weight of the pouch composition, wherein said at least one water-insoluble fibre is selected from a group consisting of wheat fibres, pea fibres, rice fibres, maize fibres, oat fibres, tomato fibres, barley fibres, rye fibres, sugar beet fibres, buckwheat fibres, potato fibres, cellulose fibres, apple fibres, cocoa fibres, bran fibres, bamboo fibres, chemically unmodified powdered cellulose and their combinations. Nicotine product in the form of a pouch for oral administration, containing a saliva-permeable pouch and the above pouch composition enclosed in said pouch.

EFFECT: composition described above provides stability, effective water retention, with effective release of components from the pouch, an attractive mouthfeel and texture.
