SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an oral product in the form of a sachet. Oral product in the form of a sachet for relieving nicotine cravings containing a saliva-permeable sachet, a sachet composition containing less than 1.0% by weight of tobacco by weight of the sachet composition, heat treated fibres in amount of 5–50% by weight of the composition, wherein the heated fibres are water-insoluble fibres selected from wheat fibres, pea fibres, rice fibres, corn fibres, oat fibres, tomato fibres, barley fibres, rye fibres, sugar beet fibres, buckwheat fibres, potato fibres, cellulose fibres, apple fibres, bran fibres, bamboo fibres, powdered cellulose, coconut fibres, cellulose fibres and combinations thereof, where the water-insoluble fibres have a water solubility of less than 0.1 gram of the water-soluble composition or substance per 100 ml of water, measured at 25 degrees Celsius and pH 7.0, nicotine in amount of 0.1% to 5.0% by weight of the composition, water in amount of 20% to 40% by weight of the sachet composition, at least one sugar alcohol in amount of 1% to 50% by weight of the sachet composition, where sugar alcohol includes at least one sugar alcohol of category "DC" (amenable to direct compression), and a preserving agent in amount of 0.05% to 0.5% by weight of the sachet composition.

EFFECT: use of the invention enables to obtain a stable oral product for relieving nicotine cravings while minimizing side effects, having a long shelf life, which provides the desired long-lasting taste and sensation in the mouth due to combination of water, sugar alcohols and fibres, wherein said product does not contain carcinogenic substances.
