SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a nicotine sachet composition and a nicotine sachet product. Non-tobacco composition of a nicotine sachet for oral administration contains at least one sugar alcohol in amount of 10–60% by weight of the composition, at least one water-insoluble fibre in amount of 5–50% by weight of the composition, water in amount of 15–65% by weight of the composition and nicotine in amount of 0.1–5.0% by weight of the composition, where the composition has a bulk density of not more than 0.8 g/cm³, and where at least one water-insoluble fibre has water solubility of less than 0.1 g of water-soluble composition or substance per 100 ml of water, measured at 25 degrees Celsius and pH 7.0. Product in the form of a nicotine sachet for oral administration contains a saliva-permeable sachet and a non-tobacco nicotine sachet composition containing at least one sugar alcohol in amount of 10–60% by weight of the composition, at least one water-insoluble fibre in amount of 5–50% by weight of the composition, water in amount of 15–65% by weight of the composition and nicotine in amount of 0.1–5.0% by weight of the composition, where the sachet has a maximum internal volume of the sachet and where the non-tobacco composition of the nicotine sachet has a volume corresponding to at least 65% of said maximum internal volume of the sachet, where the composition has a bulk density of not more than 0.8 g/cm³, and where "water-insoluble" refers to water solubility of less than 0.1 g of water-soluble composition or substance per 100 ml of water, measured at 25 degrees Celsius and pH 7.0.

EFFECT: composition and product described above are characterized by low bulk density with the specified water content, provide a good sensation in the mouth, attractive taste, effective release from the sachet.
