SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of processing materials on bending machines, in particular to methods of training specialists in technological operations carried out when working with said machines using an augmented reality device. Disclosed is a method of training to work on a numerically controlled bending machine using an augmented reality device, which includes launching a training program by a specialist, characterized by the fact that the training program projects the following augmented reality objects into the field of vision of a specialist using an augmented reality device: video lessons with test questions, 3D model of the workpiece, bend switching keys, a drawing, a projection of the workpiece in the form of a semi-transparent hologram, information panels which provide a specialist with information on frequently used data from the machine, warning panels, as well as reference data in form of tables, wherein data on said objects are transmitted to augmented reality device from machine tool, wherein the augmented reality device can be further equipped with a QR code reader, and data on 3D model of the workpiece and the drawing can also be transmitted to the augmented reality device after reading the QR code applied, for example, on a paper medium, at that, by pressing the specialist on the bend switching keys, the augmented reality device visualises the bend animation on 3D model of the workpiece, which enables the specialist to see it both in unfolded form and sequentially each bend separately, and the projection of the workpiece is displayed by a specialist on the bending zone on the machine with the possibility of being applied to the actual workpiece, has a visible virtual bend line, as well as the ability to change in accordance with the action carried out on the machine, wherein the video lessons are combined into a training course and are intended for sequential viewing by a specialist who, upon completion of viewing each of the video lessons, answers test questions, including by interaction with the machine, at the same time the specified interaction can be carried out both with the use of the actual workpiece, and without its use.

EFFECT: obtaining by a specialist of practical skills of work on a bending machine, reduction of time for training; possibility to undergo training without participation of training personnel, minimization of defects and industrial injuries.
