FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of organic compounds, particularly to obtaining herbicides from sulphonylureas. Method of producing herbicides from the class of sulphonylureas containing 4-methoxy-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl substitute, of general formula I
includes reaction of 2-(phenoxycarbonyl)amino-4-methoxy-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazine with sulphonamide of general formula II
in a medium of ethylene carbonate (EC), propylene carbonate (PC) or mixtures thereof in the presence of an organic base at temperature of 20-45 °C for 1-7 hours. Further, the obtained reaction mass is treated with water and acid to obtain chlorsulfuron, triasulfuron, prosulfuron, iofensulfuron, metsulfuron-methyl, iodosulfuron-methyl or thifensulfuron-methyl, extraction and purification. Organic base used is 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU), 1,5-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-ene (DBN), triethylamine (TEA), tripropylamine (Pr3N), tributylamine (TBA), tripentylamine ((C5H11)3N), diisopropylethylamine (DIPEA), triisobutylamine ((iso-Bu)3N) or N-methylmorpholine (NMM). Acid used is hydrochloric, sulphuric, phosphoric, formic, acetic or propionic acid.
EFFECT: disclosed method of producing herbicides from the class of sulphonylureas containing 4-methoxy-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl substitute has improved technical, economic and environmental properties of the process of producing sulphonylureas due to refusal to use hazardous and toxic organic solvents in it, leading to reduction of amount of toxic wastes without deterioration of quality and reduction of output of end products.
