FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plant protection agents, in particular to production of active substances of pesticides containing in their structure 4-methyl- or 4,6-dimethylpyrimidin-2-yl substitute. Method of producing herbicides from the class of sulphonylureas containing 4-methyl- or 4,6-dimethylpyrimidin-2-yl substitute of general formula I

where X=H or Me,
involves reaction of 2-(phenoxycarbonyl)amino-4-methylpyrimidine or 2-(phenoxycarbonyl)amino-4,6-dimethylpyrimidine with a sulphonamide of general formula II
in a medium of cyclic organic carbonate of ethylene carbonate, propylene carbonate or a mixture thereof in the presence of an organic base at temperature of 20-45 °C for 1-5 hours. Further, the obtained reaction mass is treated with water and an acid to obtain an end product selected from monosulfuron, monosulfuron-methyl, sulfometuron-methyl, oxasulfuron or zuomihuanglong. Then one performs extraction and purification. Organic base used is 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene, 1,5-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-ene, triethylamine, tripropylamine, tributylamine, tripentylamine, diisopropylethylamine, triisobutylamine or N-methylmorpholine. Acid used is hydrochloric, sulphuric, phosphoric, formic, acetic or propionic acid.
EFFECT: disclosed method of producing herbicides from sulphonylureas provides improved technical and economic and environmental properties of the process of producing sulphonylureas, higher safety and environmental friendliness of the process, reduced amount of toxic wastes of the process without deterioration of quality and reduced output of end products.
