FIELD: video encoding means.

SUBSTANCE: information on coordinates of the initial matching coding unit (CU) of the current CU is determined in accordance with information on coordinates of the current CU. List of extended time candidates is constructed based on information on coordinates of the initial matching CU. Coordinate information of the target matching CU corresponding to each extended time motion vector prediction (ETMVP) mode number in the extended time candidate list is determined by successively passing through the ETMVP mode numbers in the extended time candidate list. Information on the movement of the target matching CU is determined. Movement information of the target conforming CU contains information on the movement of each subunit in the target conforming CU. Information on movement of the sub-unit in the corresponding position in the current CU is determined. Motion compensation (MC) is performed for each subunit in the current CU. Rate-distortion cost is calculated for each ETMVP mode and the prediction mode corresponding to the lowest rate-distortion cost is selected.

EFFECT: high efficiency of video encoding.
