FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology. Disclosed a method of producing lachrymal fluid (LF) for laboratory research, comprising sampling LF by sorption on a filter paper strip according to Schirmer's method, immersing the tear-impregnated portion of the filter strip into an Eppendorf-type test tube, incubating the contents of the test tube at room temperature and subsequent centrifugation, wherein the impregnated part of the filter paper strip is immersed in an Eppendorf-type test tube with 0.4 ml of sterile saline, then the contents of the test tube are incubated at room temperature in a laboratory mixer in a shaking mode for 90 minutes, then a strip of filter paper is fixed under the cover of the test tube so that the paper is not immersed in the liquid phase, after which the test tube is centrifuged with drying of the filter strip in mode of 2000 g for 4 minutes.

EFFECT: invention provides minimal reflex stimulation of lachrymal production with maximum concentration of biological components extracted into a buffer medium, which enables to determine lachrymal components by various laboratory techniques and reagents.
