FIELD: electric communication technique.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of telecommunication, in particular to methods of determining the optimal route in a communication system. Result is achieved by distributing information flows in the communication system when transmitting information from a sender node to a recipient node by determining the optimal route. To find the optimal transmission route, the value of efficiency of transmitting information on the route is used, which is determined by the ratio of the sum of cybernetic capacities to the sum of total cybernetic capacities at each communication interval. Cybernetic power is determined based on the average number of information packets of the buffer of the communication system memory unit and the average communication speed of the communication system information transmission unit for a given time interval, and total cybernetic power based on buffer capacity and measured communication channel throughput. Obtained values of efficiency of information transfer are compared and route with minimum efficiency is determined.

EFFECT: reduced average time delay and packet loss.
