SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical communication. Method of assessing the efficiency of information exchange of a communication system includes: determining the information transmission efficiency of a communication system and evaluating its information efficiency, calculating the change value of input traffic through a selected time interval with respect to the input traffic, at which the value of the information transmission efficiency of the communication system was determined, determination of its module and comparison with threshold, in case of threshold exceeding, at current value of input traffic, repeated determination of efficiency of information transfer of communication system, as well as evaluation of efficiency of information exchange of the communication system based on results of two measurements of efficiency.

EFFECT: high accuracy of estimating efficiency of information exchange of a communication system by using repeatedly determined efficiency of transmitting information of a communication system.
