FIELD: molecular biology.
SUBSTANCE: what is described is a method for predicting the risk of developing occupational sensorineural hearing loss (OSNHL) in a patient working or intending to work in occupational noise conditions, involving the study of GSTT1 and GSTM1 gene polymorphism in the patient.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to detect predisposition or its absence to development of OSNHL in conditions of noise hazardous production in a specific person during or before beginning of his/her work at this production.
