Plurality of first threads (16) is configured to heat the aerosol-forming liquid substrate, and the plurality of second threads (18) is configured to carry the aerosol-forming liquid substrate for wetting at least a portion of heating element (10) with the liquid substrate. Multiple first threads (16) are in the first direction, and multiple second threads (18) are located in the second direction, and the second direction is transverse to the first direction.
