FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to obstetrics and enables to determine severity of preeclampsia. Dopplerometry of cerebral vessels and assessment of their blood flow by value of pulsation index. Transorbital dopplerometry of the right and left orbital arteries is performed, the value of the pulsation index of each artery is determined, then their average value is determined, and if the average value of the pulsation index is more than 1.05, moderate preeclampsia is established, and if the average value is less than or equal to 1.05, severe preeclampsia is stated.
EFFECT: method enables specifying the severity of the pathological process in a short period of time and thereby solving the issue of expediency of delivery by determining the average value of the pulsation index.
