FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to X-ray diagnostics, cardiology, nephrology, therapy, and can be used for prediction of preservation of renal parenchyma one year after performing renal denervation in patients with resistant arterial hypertension. Magnetic resonance imaging is used to determine the renal cortex index as the renal cortex volume multiplied by 2.7 growth. Body weight index, pulse blood pressure, patient’s age are determined, chronic kidney disease is confirmed or excluded. A prognostic probability (p) of preserving the renal parenchyma volume is then determined using a regression equation. And if p is more than or equal to 0.5, preservation of renal parenchyma volume is predicted, if p is less than 0.5, reduction of renal parenchyma volume is predicted and renal denervation is not recommended.
EFFECT: method enables the high-accuracy prediction of the preservation of the renal parenchyma volume one year after the renal denervation in the absence of radiation exposure on the patient, as well as determining the further therapeutic approach by evaluating the aggregate of the most significant parameters.
