SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to therapy and cardiology, and deals with the prediction of the effectiveness of renal denervation in patients with arterial hypertension resistant to drug therapy. To do this, the developed formula is used to calculate the value of “p” taking into account the following indicators: age, transverse size of the cisterna prepontinis, transverse size of the quadrigeminal cistern, length of the III ventricle, transverse size of the IV ventricle, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, the presence of lacunae, the presence of lacunae in the II region. At a value of p<0.5, the ineffectiveness of the procedure is predicted and it is considered impractical, and at a value of p < 0.5, the effectiveness of the procedure is confirmed and prescribed to the patient.

EFFECT: method provides an increase in the accuracy of the prognosis for the antihypertensive effectiveness of sympathetic denervation, which, in turn, reduces the unjustified risk of complications from this procedure in patients with a low probability of an effective response.
