FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to electrical engineering and power engineering, in particular to digital relay protection and control means. Relay protection and control device of the electrical substation comprises at each connection of each section of the substation buses: switches, digital control units of the connection, digital control units of the switch, one control unit of the power unit of the substation per the busbar section. First ports of the connection control units are connected to the first ports of the digital control units of the corresponding connections. Outputs of digital switch control units are connected to control inputs of switches of corresponding connections. Additionally, a synchronization unit is introduced. Connected in series to the ring digital network in pairs are the corresponding digital connection control units and digital control units of the switch of all connections, in the same ring digital network the substation power unit control unit and the synchronization unit are connected in series. Introduction of the synchronization unit provides for accurate binding of values of current samples to certain moments in time. This allows eliminating errors caused by different phase shifts of currents relative to voltage in different connections. In case of failure of control unit of one of connections, indirect determination of unknown current in control unit of power unit of substation is performed with higher accuracy. Use of a ring structure of a digital network at an electrical substation makes this network less vulnerable due to the shorter length of communication lines and the availability of alternative data transmission paths to the destination. Thus, reliability of relay protection and control of substation is higher in comparison with existing ones.
EFFECT: improving accuracy and reliability of relay protection and control due to synchronization of measurements of currents of connections and ring connection of relay protection and substation control units.
