FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to neurology, and can be used for treating a painful form of peripheral diabetic polyneuropathy of lower extremities. Method includes introduction of botulinum toxin type A – haemagglutinin complex subcutaneously in soles of feet at twenty specific points.
EFFECT: method enables to anaesthetize the most loaded support areas of the foot and improve the quality of life by administering botulinum toxin at twenty points in a projection of the tibial, medial and lateral plantar nerves.
