FIELD: medical science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, specifically to a surgical vacuum parathyroid retainer. Surgical vacuum parathyroid retainer includes a vacuum air pump configured to operate on voltage of 12 V, a negative pressure regulator, a storage filter, silicone cone of the tip with an external hole diameter of 8 mm, a carpal adapter made of two-component silicone on a platinum catalyst under the shape of a human hand grip having a hole size of 2×2 mm, made to release pressure, and fixed on the flexible silicone tube rigid holder, which connects the vacuum air pump and the tip silicone cone through the accumulating filter.
EFFECT: using the invention enables providing the reliable parathyroid tissue fixation and minimizing the damage of the capsule and the parathyroid tissue when separated from the surrounding tissues accompanying the parathyroidectomy procedure.
