FIELD: medical science.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to tissue engineering, and may be used in abdominal surgery for treating external abdominal hernias. What is presented is a method which involves processing an anterior abdominal wall tissue by chemical submerged decellularisation followed by morphometric evaluation of its fragment with using an image analysis and processing program with a plug-in for calculating black trabeculas on a white background. If the ratio of the black and white areas is more than 35.1%, the biograft is unsuitable for use in the anterior abdominal wall repair, as a high risk of ruptures during mechanical action.

EFFECT: invention provides an objective assessment of a degree of mechanical strength of the graft prepared by chemical submerged decellularisation of a cadaver fragment of an anterior abdominal wall (AAW) of a rabbit according to the results of the morphometric analysis of its tissues.
