FIELD: device for cleaning exhaust gases. SUBSTANCE: tubular shell with catalyst carrier in the form of a metal body has at least one external corrugation. A hole in partition wall which accommodates tubular shell has a diameter which is larger than outside diameter of tubular shell on the portion without the external corrugation but smaller than said diameter on the portion with external corrugation. The partition wall adjoins the external corrugation and is connected therewith by circular weld or by spot welding. EFFECT: improved design. 6 cl, 1 dwg
