FIELD: petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: diesel fractions are subjected to hydrorefining by contacting with a first catalyst alumocobalt-molybdenum sulfide catalyst bed then with a second oxide alumo-cobalt-molybdenum catalyst bed and with a third oxide alumo-cobalt-molybdenum catalyst bed. The weight ratio of the catalyst beds is 1:1:(0.5-8), respectively. Additive fixed beds are used the interfaces of which are made in the form of a cone with an angle of 50-150° between the generating lines. The process is carried out by first sulfuring the catalyst beds in a hydrogen- containing gas at 350-400 C. EFFECT: improved properties of the diesel fractions. 1 tbl
