FIELD: metallographic analysis, security systems based on key-lock principle. SUBSTANCE: device has piezoelectric unit for scanning surface of sample, sample holder, control unit, unit for information processing. Holder has two separate parts and contains units for approximate and precise position search. Precise position search unit is rigidly attached to housing of scanning unit and provides possibility to fix angular position of sample. Approximate position search unit can be removed, it contains mechanism for face pressing of sample, it also serves as a container for storing sample. This results in possibility of repeated and rapid change of sample and in possibility to position it in scanning field with precision.
