FIELD: medicine; organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: this method prescribes adding alcohol solution of thymol to aqueous solution of L-glutaminic acid and copper sulfate acidified to pH value of 4.5 to 5.5, separating resultant precipitate and then drying it. Disclosed method further prescribes taking thymol in amount of 1 to 2 parts by mass per 20 to 30 parts by volume of alcohol and using 0.1 to 0.5 parts by mass of L-glutaminic acid, 0.01 to 0.05 parts by mass of copper sulfate and 100 to 120 parts by volume of water for preparing prescribed aqueous solution. EFFECT: disclosed method allows producing thymol having sweet taste. 3 cl
