SUBSTANCE: method of continuous casting of blocks includes forming of casting block from shell with liquid phase to provide for free expansion and obtaining the side walls of casting block convex in shape up to the moment of touching the shell walls. The device for embodiment of the method of continuous casting has mold with two side walls secured to the mold end faces. Each side wall has concave surface over its length with its depth increasing to the preset law. These two side walls together with working surfaces of two members from split mold whose cavity is extension of the cavity of solid mold.
