SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy. The method for continuous casting of hollow blanks includes the supply of liquid metal into a mold with a mandrel, the formation of a hollow billet in it, its compression and calibration with simultaneous stretching of the hollow billet. The metal is fed into an all-in-one mold with a mandrel (2), on which the inner annular wall (3) of the all-in-one mold made of heat-resistant material is fixed, and a hardened annular crust of the workpiece (13) is formed in it. A workpiece containing an annular crust and a liquid metal is pulled from an all-in-one mold into a conical closed cavity of a detachable mold, closely docked with an all-in-one mold, with simultaneous compression of the hardened wall of the annular crust around the perimeter with calibrated strikers (6, 7). The shape of the said closed cavity at the inlet of the workpiece is an ellipse, the major axis of which passes through the contact planes of the calibrated strikers of the detachable mold with the workpiece, and at the outlet is a circle whose diameter is equal to the diameter of the outer surface of the hollow workpiece.

EFFECT: stability of the continuous casting process is improved and the quality of hollow blanks is improved.
