FIELD: machining of surfaces. SUBSTANCE: process involves bombardment of surface of hole by flux of ions of gas formed between article ( cathode ) and electrode ( anode ) brought into it. Electrode is set coaxially to machined surface. High-voltage potential exceeding 5000 V determined depending on radius of hole of machined article from proposed relationship is fed to cathode. EFFECT: intensification of machining process, manufacture of uniform diffusion layer of ions of reaction gas in surface of long-length holes, avoidance of operation of surface heating to saturation temperature, simplified realization process. 1 dwg
