FIELD: geophysical methods f search and prospecting for deposits of mineral resources. SUBSTANCE: given method can be employed both in ground seismic prospecting and in acoustic logging. Method investigating geological prospecting consists in excitation and recording of seismic vibrations with subsequent comparison of kinematic and dynamic characteristics. Seismic vibrations are excited by change of excitation amplitude from minimum level to maximum one and in reverse order to initial level. Then kinematic and dynamic parameters of waves of forward and backward directions are compared to evaluate difference in physical and mechanical properties of rocks. Physical and mechanical properties of rocks can also be judged by hysteresis loop of kinematic and dynamic parameters. EFFECT: increased efficiency of differentiation of rocks by their physical and mechanical properties. 1 dwg
