FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: method relates to creation of ice platform on ice surface intended for movement of vehicles and/or storing of loads. According to method, initially ice cover surface is cleared of snow. After that, formed in ice surface are stiffening ribs. This is performed by making grooves in ice surface of any length and of depth which is less than ice thickness at least in one direction. Then, produced ice surface is subjected to treatment by low temperature (t < 0°C) during period which is required for building accretions on bottom surface of ice cover at places where grooves are made. Thickness of accretions is equal to thickness of ice cover. Upon that, same places are again subjected to grooving. Depth of grooves is less than thickness of ice accretions and their width is not larger than of previously made grooves. Ice cover is again subjected to treatment by low temperature (t < 0°C) during period of time needed for increasing height of accretions to depth of newly made grooves. Application of aforesaid method allows for increasing load-bearing capacity of ice platform for more safety in movement of vehicles and reliable storing of loads on ice platform. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
