FIELD: medicine, namely roentgenology and surgery. SUBSTANCE: endoscope is introduced into organism cavity and brought to object being examined. Then roentgenography is performed. Prior to sounding, external diameter of endoscope distal end is measured. In sounding, distal end is positioned in one plane with object being examined. This plane is arranged in parallel with cassette containing roentgen film and transversely to roentgen ray direction. Transverse size of image of endoscope distal end is measured on roentgenogram, and size of object being examined is determined by formula A= (AlxB)/Bl, where A is size of object sought for; Al id size of object image on roentgenogram; B is external diameter of endoscope distal end; Bl transversal size of image of endoscope distal end on roentgenogram. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy. 1 dwg
