FIELD: molecular biology, biotechnology, genetic engineering, medicine. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicinal virology and immunology and can be used for carrying out immunodiagnosis of hemorrhagic Marburg fever and for preparing specific antibodies to Marburg virus and genetic engineering vaccines against Marburg virus. Recombinant plasmid DNA pQ-f35 encoding polypeptide f35 showing antigenic properties of Marburg virus protein VP 35 and recombinant strain of bacterium E. coli JM 103 [pQ-f35] are constructed. This strain provides biosynthesis of this polypeptide at expression level 70 mg of recombinant protein/l of cultural fluid at culturing on liquid nutrient media. Plasmid pQ-f35 has optimized promoter sequence consisting of phage T5 promoter recognized by E. coli RNA-polymerase and two lac-operator sites showing high level of lac-repressor binding and effective expression of the strong phage promoter. EFFECT: enhanced specificity and sensitivity of known methods of immunodiagnosis. 3 cl, 5 dwg, 4 ex
