FIELD: organic chemistry and chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention describes method of purification of 5H-dibenz[b,f]azepine. At the first stage 5H-dibenz[b, f] azepine is evaporated under decreased pressure from reaction mixture obtained by catalytic dehydrogenation of 10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenz[b, f] azepine and product is isolated as solid substance. At the second stage product is suspended in aromatic hydrocarbon and then pure 5H-dibenz[b, f]azepine is isolated. EFFECT: enhanced degree of purification. 4 cl, 1 tbl
