FIELD: metal working, possibly milling, particularly by means of end milling cutters, drilling and turning flat and irregular-shape surfaces by means of small-diameter cutting tool. SUBSTANCE: cutting tool has holder with seat in which cutting tip with two cutting edges is fixed with the aid of screw. Each edge has leading and creeping portions extending in direction of tool axis. Creeping portion is parallel to tool axis and it is spaced from it by larger distance than leading portion. In order to minimize tool size and to provide space necessary for chipping and for removing chip without reducing cross dimensions of holder and strength of cutting tip and clamping screw, creeping portion is arranged over main plane parallel to horizontal projection of tool and passing through its lengthwise axis. Rear surface of creeping portion is inclined by interior acute angle relative to main plane. Other lateral surfaces of cutting tip and adjoining lateral walls of holder seat converge one with another from working cutting edge. At least one of converging lateral walls of seat is inclined to its base by angle equal to above mentioned interior acute angle and it is designed for engaging with rear surface of non-working cutting edge. EFFECT: improved design of tool. 17 cl, 18 dwg
