FIELD: machines and apparatuses actuated by chemically active liquids and gases at high pressures and temperatures. SUBSTANCE: reactor is designed to decompose polymeric organometallic compounds of tantalum, niobium, or their copolymers into separate monomers and to convert electric field of free electrons built up due to mentioned decomposition into electromotive force of chemical power supply. It has vertical cylindrical vessel with external heat insulation accommodating flame tube installed along its center line and used to pass hot products of combustion of solid, liquid, or gaseous fuel. Pipe unions are provided on outer cylindrical surface of vessel to receive electrodes of chromel-nickel thermocouples insulated from steel vessel of reactor. Hot junctions of electrodes are placed in liquid phase of materials used as chemical sources of electrical energy and their cold junctions are interconnected outside of vessel into series and parallel electric circuits. Organometallic polymeric compounds of tantalum and niobium are heated within reactor to temperature exceeding that at which polymeric compounds decompose into separate monomers with the result that electric field of free electrons is built up. Free electrons diffuse under effect of thermal electromotive force of chromel-alumel thermocouple in definite direction, potential is set up, and electric field of free electrons is transformed into electromotive force of chemical power supply.
