FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; ignition system. SUBSTANCE: proposed method comes to the following: readings of transmitter at detonation combustion are taken and are compared with readings of threshold value transmitter and if threshold values are exceeded, ignition advance angle is corrected. Dielectric properties of exhaust gases are used as parameter characteristics process of detonation combustion. Exhaust gases are pumped through capacitive pickup and capacitance of pickup at normal operation of engine is measured and moment of appearance of detonation combustion is detected by increase in pickup capacitance, and basing on result of comparing of capacitances measured at normal operation and at detonation combustion, ignition advance angle is adjusted. EFFECT: increased reliability of operation of detonation limiting system. 3 dwg
