SUBSTANCE: described are new compounds, namely 4-aminobenzoyl guanidines of general formula I: wherein R¹ is A; R² and R³ is each independently H, A, Ph or Het; R² and R³ are together alkylene having 4 or 5 carbon atoms; Het is saturated, unsaturated or aromatic heterocycle having 1 or 2 nitrogen or sulfur atoms, bonded through N or C which is unsubstituted or mono-, di- or - trisubstituted by A, OA, NH₂, F, Cl: Br and/or CF₃: A is alkyl having 1-6 carbon atoms, and also physiologically acceptable salts thereof. Compounds of formula I and physiologically acceptable salts thereof have antiarrhythmic properties and act as cellular Na/H antiporter inhibitors.
