FIELD: medicine, in particular, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: device has a cylindrical transparent body, scale and a freely dropping ball. The ball holding device in the initial state is made in the form of permanent magnets installed in the body for engagement with the ball. The ring is made for longitudinal motion in the body axis. The pusher has guides provided with limiting shoulders. Connected to the guides is a thin-walled bush with tabs bent inside the bush. The inner sides of the tabs are connected by flexible threads to the inner side of the bush, whose inside diameter is less than outside diameter of the circumference generating line of the guides. The ball holding device in the initial state has a slide with a hole for passage of the ball and engageable with a spring. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of measurement of intraocular pressure due to exclusion of repeated measurements and getting of a more true and objective information. 2 dwg
