FIELD: space engineering; ground tests of cable systems. SUBSTANCE: stand includes drum for winding the cable with electric drive electrically connected with control system. Provision is made for kinematically linked flywheel whose moment of inertia is adjusted by this control system. Stand is also provided with guide rollers for passage of cable and helical spring fitted mechanisms for change of number of their working coils. These mechanisms are connected with control system; some rollers are mounted on rigid bases and other rollers are mounted on ends of above-mentioned helical springs. Drum torque and number of working coils of each spring are preset in definite dependence on angle of turn of drum. According to one version, moment of inertia of drum is changed depending on angle of turn of drum and remains constant according to another version.
