FIELD: transport engineering; brake mechanisms of vehicles with twin drive wheels. SUBSTANCE: twin wheel brake mechanism has rotor with the first friction pair counterbodies, backing plate with fitted on the second friction pair counterbodies, and brake cylinders. Each wheel has its rotor with the first friction pair counterbodies. One wheel with rotor is installed on overrunning clutch. Common backing plate with fitted on the second friction pair counterbodies is arranged between wheels. The second counterbodies of friction pairs are arranged at opposite sides of said backing plate. Brake cylinders are also secured at different sides of backing plate. EFFECT: prevention of locking of wheel installed on overrunning clutch at vehicle braking. 1 dwg
