FIELD: metallurgy, continuous casting of metals. SUBSTANCE: process of production of continuously cast deformed billets includes injection of dummy bar into mould with working space expanded in upper part, feed of melt into it, formation of skin of dummy bar, deformation and forcing through of dummy bar and of billet from mould which walls are set in motion, insertion of two tapes without their melting along pairs of walls executing reciprocal motion into mould with relation of width "b" of tape to thickness "a": of billet determined as b/a=1.15-1.25. Gear has casting ladle with immersion sleeve, vertical mould with walls of first pair expanding in upper part at inclination angle of 10 degrees to vertical line that can have rotary motion and with walls of second pair mounted for reciprocating motion, dummy bar, drums to feed two tapes. Faces of walls of first pair have longitudinal recesses with depth "a2", coupled to thickness "a1" of tape by relation a2/a1=1.02-1.04, width "b1" of longitudinal recess in lower part of each wall of first pair, width "b" of inserted tape and thickness "a" of obtained billet are additionally related by expression (2b1+a)/b=1.03-1.06. EFFECT: enhanced productivity of process and raised quality of billet. 2 cl, 3 dwg
