FIELD: full-depth peripheral grinding of materials liable to such defects as burns and microcracks; grinding parts at controllable heat flux directed to part. SUBSTANCE: method consists in setting the grinding wheel is made from separate abrasive disks secured in inclined position for forming oscillation of cutting zone on common shaft at angle of α relative to plane perpendicular to axis of rotation of wheel; they are mounted for adjustment of angle of inclination α. Disks are mounted at spaced relation to each other not exceeding half-height of abrasive disks. Invention contains dependences for determination of amplitude of oscillation of cutting zone and angle of inclination of abrasive disks. EFFECT: enhanced vibration resistance; improved quality; increased productivity due to reduced heat-release rate of abrasive cutting. 2 dwg
