FIELD: electronics; production of synthetic diamond monocrystals at preset physical properties. SUBSTANCE: proposed method is based on introduction of finely-dispersed carbon in aqueous medium at addition of either one acid or water- soluble chemical agent from series of oxides, bases, sulfates, chlorides, carbonates and nitrated of metals which are present in kimberlite tubes in order to obtain pH within range of from 0 to 13; process is conducted at temperature range of from 20 to 200 C. chemical agents containing diamond alloying admixtures may be additionally introduced in aqueous medium. EFFECT: simplification of method; low cost of method; low level of defects; possibility of obtaining diamonds of required physical properties. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
