FIELD: iron-based alloys. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat treatment in gaseous media and can be used in manufacture of low-carbon iron-chromium alloys with chromium level of 5-30 wt.%. Product made from this alloy is placed in closed space and nitrogenized using air as nitrogenizing gas medium. Air-to-product weight ratio and air pressure are specified for room temperature and then product is heated to 900-1300 C, aged, and cooled in salt water. EFFECT: simplified nitrogenization process. 5 cl, 2 dwg, 2 tbl
