FIELD: agriculture; applicable for estimation of protein quality in grain and green fodder of fodder plants. SUBSTANCE: method provides for determination of total per cent of indispensable amino acids in protein. Degree of inclination is used as estimated index, and it is manifested by difference between said index and similar total per cent of indispensable amino acids for standard protein (albumin of hen's egg). Three levels of quality are separated on base of received data: high (inclination degree from standard to 15%); medium (from 16 to 30%); and low (31% and higher), and on said base conclusions are made about biological value of grain or vegetable fodder. The method allows to expose high-protein fodders necessary for feeding of agricultural animals. EFFECT: simplification of method. 1 tbl
