FIELD: method of growing colored varieties of quartz crystals under hydrothermal conditions at temperature differential; manufacture of precious stones jewelry. SUBSTANCE: proposed method employs autoclave in growth mode, heating it at seeding of seed plates and growth of crystals on these plates at solidification temperature of 300-315 C in autoclave at temperature differential between growth and dissolving zones; during introduction of autoclave in growth mode, heating and hydrothermal seeding of seed plates are performed at temperature higher than solidification temperature by 10-20 C, after which temperature is reduced to growth level at rate of 1.5-2.0 C/day at simultaneous increase of temperature differential from zero to growth level at rate of 3-5 C/day; average temperature and pressure shall be constant. EFFECT: improved quality of quartz crystals. 1 tbl
