FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: procedure provides for accurate quantitative evaluation of energy indices of valve converter under conditions of commensurability of powers of load and supply network with emergence of nonsinusoidal distortions of network voltage corresponding to form of current. Procedure is based on physical representation of electric valve as secondary source of power of higher harmonics according to which zero balance of active power in perfect key element is achieved thanks to equality of different sign between so called primary power formed by components with frequency of primary source and secondary power formed by components of other frequencies. Proceeding from existence of fluxes of active power of different frequencies and directions across network input energy indices of valve converter should be determined on assumption that power consumed by push-pull rectifier is composed of primary power of all valves and power of load is less than specified by value of loss in converter and loss in network due to flow of current of higher harmonics. Starting from specified zero balance it is suggested that computation of secondary power of higher harmonics should be replaced with hunting for primary power equal in modulus to achieve technical result which is simplification. EFFECT: simplified evaluation procedure. 2 cl, 6 dwg
