FIELD: railway transport; track facilities. SUBSTANCE: proposed assembly line contains straight section of rail track on which tie store, tie laying station for laying tie according to preset diagram, fasteners supply point and rail supply point for delivering fasteners and rails to assembly line, final assembly point, assembled skeletons reception and storage point, device designed for carrying out rail skeleton assembling operations moving along the line and cranes designed for delivering ties to point of tie laying to preset diagram, placing the rails on ties at final assembly point and forming packs of skeletons are located. Use is made of standard laying cranes with tie gripping devices in which each working member is made in form of lever tongs operated by electromagnets and compression springs. Device for assembling rail track skeleton is made in from of self-propelled roller platform car on which pan-jig is mounted with possibility of removing and furnished with tie spacing changer made in form of two axles installed for rotation on jig frame on which stops for different tie spaces are rigidly secured.
