FIELD: tire industry. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at tubing of cord layers onto bead of pneumatic tire when building the tire on building-building drum. Proposed device contains tire-building drum consisting of first and second halves installed opposite to each other and arranged along geometric axis of drum. Each half contains great number of radial sectors distributed over circumference, and radially shifted devices connected with each half for selective displacement of corresponding sectors between compressed position in which they are located close to geometric axis of drum and expanded position in which they are located at a distance from geometric axis. Device contains also at least one operating mechanism moving in axial direction for shifting the halves relative to each other between position when they are located close to each other and position when they are located at a distance from each other along geometric axis. Each sector contains holding member defining place of engagement of ring fastener with bead, being part of carcass bushing installed without clearance on drum. Each sector contains additionally support member intercoupled relative to holding member in inner axial direction of position of holding member and made for displacement between first working position in which it is located axially at a distance from holding member to provide place of support for at least one layer being part of carcass bushing, and second working position in which it is arranged axially close to holding member, for bringing the halves together. Support members connected with first and second halves, respectively, are provided with support surfaces pointed to each other and located at a distance from each other equal to value less then travel of halves between moved off and moved to positions in which support members in moved-to position adjoin through their corresponding support surfaces.
