FIELD: canned food industry, in particular, production of canned food from pea grain.
SUBSTANCE: method involves charging pea grain and media into can, said media including additive for preventing pea grain from overcooking; pressurizing and sterilizing said grain. Additive for preventing pea grain from overcooking is mixture of preservative and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid or salts thereof with alkaline metals or ammonium.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of power for producing of canned food.
