FIELD: processes and equipment for metal continuous casting.
SUBSTANCE: method for dynamic control of ingot cooling in plant for metal continuous casting comprises steps of controlling flow rate values of cooling agent in sections of secondary cooling zone depending upon change of ingot drawing rate. superheating of melt metal, heat dissipation from ingot in mold and heat-up of plant from cold state in starting mode; changing flow rate of cooling agent in each section of secondary cooling zone according to relation , where K1(ΔT,ν), coefficient taking into account change of flow rate of cooling agent depending upon superheating of melt metal in ladle ΔT; k2(Δq,ν), coefficient taking into account change of flow rate of cooling agent depending upon change of heat dissipation in mold, Δq; K3(τ), coefficient taking into account change of flow rate of cooling agent during heat-up of plant in starting mode.
EFFECT: lowered temperature gradient in ingot skin along the whole length of technological duct.
